The Art & Ecology Field Lab pilot project is taking place at the Fallow Art Farm in rural western Ottawa, where work is now underway to develop a physical artist studio and field lab.
The Art & Ecology Field Lab will be a place for hands-on research and learning using both artistic and scientific practices.
Activities here will be focused on biodiversity, regenerative agriculture, climate literacy, and ecological monitoring, and the initiative will encourage knowledge sharing, civic participation and community collaboration.
